Community Involvement

Whether it’s partnering with community groups, supporting local initiatives or encouraging employees to be involved in their communities, our goal is to build strong and vibrant communities where we live and work.

Emil Anderson Construction and Dilworth Homes are the presenting sponsors of the 12th annual Construction Cares Classic Charity Tournament, held May 24-25, 2019 in Kelowna, BC, and benefits Ronald McDonald House BC & Yukon.  The tournament was founded by TRUE Consulting in 2008 and they have raised a remarkable $300,000 in support of RMH BC. In 2018, EAC and DQH took over as presenting sponsor of the RMH BC Interior Charity Tournament and raised an additional $56,000 for RMH BC. The tournament name was changed in 2019 to the Construction Cares Classic Charity Tournament. The name has changed but it’s still the same great tournament, presented by Emil Anderson Construction and Dilworth Homes and benefits RMH BC.

Giving back to the communities where we operate is part of our everyday culture and we have been doing it for 80 years. It’s all part of being an employer of choice, a good neighbour and a trusted community partner.

Nobody understands the needs and priorities of a community better than the people who live and work in it. That’s why Emil Anderson has an employee-lead Community Give-back Program to support the communities where we live and operate. The Emil Anderson Community Give-back Program focuses on the following priorities:

  • Children and Youth programs
  • Community Enhancement and Support
  • Skills Development, Education and Training
  • Disease Prevention and Treatment Research

The Community Give-Back Committee would be pleased to review your request for support. Email us at jmcwilliams@eac.bc.ca (Fraser Valley area) or ldonahee@dilworthhomes.com (Okanagan Valley) with an outline of your request for sponsorship.
